On Homosexual Issues

April 25, 2015 By EO Leave a Comment

gays-in-church1“So why in our insanity can this (homosexuality)—among alleged Christians, churches and denominations—become sanctioned in our day? Never in the history of the church has the body of Christ been forced to make a significant stand on sodomy, because there was never a question as to its standing. Why today? Because the world has declared it so. Once again, the church has trimmed its sails to the prevailing winds to avoid conflicts with a value-less day in which morality is socially and psychologically and genetically predisposed. We have yielded, and the barbarian has stormed the breach. God’s word has been amended through Canaanite protest and secular voices. Insane.” Tommy Nelson

Eclectic : deriving ideas from a broad and diverse range of Christian sources and Traditions.

Orthodoxy : correct, right or true things, from ὀρθός ‎(orthós, “correct”) + δόξα ‎(dóxa, “way, opinion”).

“No doctrine concerning the divine and saving mysteries of the faith, however trivial, may be taught without the backing of the holy Scriptures. We must not let ourselves be drawn aside by mere persuasion and cleverness of speech. Do not even give absolute belief to me, the one who tells you these things, unless you receive proof from the divine Scriptures of what I teach. For the faith that brings us salvation acquires its force, not from fallible reasonings, but from what can be proved out of the holy Scriptures.” Cyril of Jerusalem (ca. 313-386)
